New Jersey Fashion Designer Found Dead in Hudson River

It is a sad day in the fashion industry as reports are emerging about the local New Jersey menswear designer Michele Savoia who was found dead in the Hudson River Sunday afternoon.

According to reports the designer was last seen on Thursday night leaving Paris Hilton's party at the Manhattan nightclub Marquee. He was a no show for his Valentine's Day evening date with his ex-girlfriend and was reported missing Saturday morning by his driver.

An autopsy will determine the cause of death. However, police speculate that the 55 year old Hoboken native was going to his house boat docked at West 17th Street and slipped into the icy waters of the Hudson.

Michele Savoia was a mens suit designer for celebrities such as Matt Dillon and Robert DeNiro. He was the owner of the 'House of Savoia' located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He was well know in the community and a respected designer who will be truly missed.

Fashionably Late,
